Our Business
Desert Accounting and Business Support (DABS) is a not-for-profit organisation specialising in supporting –
Aboriginal corporations and enterprises
Aboriginal communities
Projects on Aboriginal land
Aboriginal groups negotiating Native Title claims.
DABS also work with other organisations such as Government Bodies and non-Aboriginal corporations partnering with Aboriginal businesses to fulfil our Company Objects in our constitution.
DABS has been delivering services to Aboriginal people of the Central Desert since 2013.
Originally part of Central Desert Native Title Services (Central Desert), DABS was created to provide support to Aboriginal organisations across Western Australia.
How do we do this?
Firstly, our team gets to know clients.
Next, we are able to tailor services to the specific needs of the community or organisation.
Then, we focus on helping Indigenous corporations achieve long-term sustainability. This includes sharing and moving knowledge and skills to local Indigenous staff.
As a result, we have found this can help build capacity within the organisation.
